My recommendations of the camping places closest to town are Harrison Bay State
Park and/or Chester Frost Park.
Chester Frost Park... about 15 minutes north of
Chattanooga.... find a map, head north on Hixson Pike... it'll take you
there. Harrison Bay State Park, also North of town... but on the opposite
side of Chickamauga Lake from Chester Frost. Find Highway 58 on the map,
head north... you'll find it.
